The eye examination is a vital health check and should be part of everyone’s normal health regime. It is important not only to detect any eye disease but also to maintain good eye health. In addition to monitoring the health of the eyes for cataracts, glaucoma and age related macular degeneration, it is also important to check for signs of other general health problems such as diabetes and high blood pressure. In certain situations the earliest indications of such general health problems can present through an eye examination.

Once a comprehensive health check for the eyes using the latest technology is completed a detailed assessment of your sight will be undertaken. This will result in an accurate prescription for any spectacles and we can then discuss all possible options available regarding your occupation, lifestyle, cosmetic appearance and budget. With constant improvements in spectacle and lens technology we can assist you in finding a comfortable solution to your visual needs.

Although there is a fee for a comprehensive eye examination the NHS provides free eye tests for qualifying customers.
